Parking Options

For overnight self-parking, check in to the hotel prior to parking. Present your APA Conference registration confirmation email to the hotel front desk clerk and ask for the special APA Washington self-parking rate. Complete parking instructions will be provided to you upon check-in.

Portland Airport Shuttle via Blue Star Shuttle

Go to the Washington Ground Transportation area located outside baggage claim and board a Blue Star Shuttle bus. Tell the driver to drop you off at the Vancouver Hilton. Shuttles depart Portland Airport every 30 minutes at the top and bottom of every hour from 8:00 a.m. - midnight. Directions to Hilton Vancouver Washington Hotel

From Interstate 5 Southbound:
Take I-5 into Vancouver, Washington. Take the City Center exit (#1C). Turn right onto Mill Plain Boulevard (becomes 15th Street). Turn left onto Columbia Street. Hotel is on the SW corner of 6th and Columbia.

From Interstate 5 Northbound:
Take I-5 through Portland and over the Interstate Bridge into Washington. Take the second exit (#1B) after the bridge, following the City Center signs. Turn left, following the signs to 6th Street. Hotel is on the SW corner of 6th and Columbia.

From Portland International Airport:
Leaving the airport, follow the signs to I-205 North. Get on I-205 North, and go over the Glen Jackson Bridge into Washington. Take the first exit (#27) onto Highway 14 West, towards Vancouver. Stay on Highway 14 for approximately 7 miles. Follow the signs into City Center (center lane). Turn left, following the signs to 6th Street. Hotel is on the SW corner of 6th and Columbia.

Directions to Red Lion Hotel at the Quay

From Interstate 5 Southbound:
Take the Mill Plain Boulevard Exit (#1C) toward City Center. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto East 15th Street. Turn left onto West Columbia Street and follow to the hotel.

From Interstate 5 Northbound:
Take the 6th Street Exit (#1B) toward City Center. Merge left on East 6th Street. Turn left onto West Columbia Street and follow to the hotel.

From Highway 14 East /Highway 14 West:
Take Exit #27 toward Camas/Vancouver. Merge onto Highway 14 West. Take the exit toward City Center. Merge onto East 6th Street. Turn left onto West Columbia Street and follow to the hotel.

From Portland International Airport:
Travel east on Airport Way. Take I-205 North to Highway 14 West (Vancouver). Take the City Center Exit to 6th Street and follow 6th Street to Columbia Street. Take a left on Columbia Street and follow to the hotel.

Shuttle Service To Conference Site

The Red Lion will offer scheduled complimentary shuttle service to the Hilton Vancouver Washington Hotel (the conference site) on November 12 and 13. Hours of service will be announced at a later date.

Traveling via Amtrak

Traveling to the conference by train is a viable option. The Vancouver, Washington Amtrak Station is within a 15 minute walk to the Hilton Vancouver Washington Hotel. Please note that the train station has recently been revitalized, but it is located in an older industrial area of Vancouver. Taxis are available at the station – the fare to conference site is approximately $3-$5.

Walking Directions: From Vancouver Amtrak Station head east on W. 11th Street toward Lincoln Avenue (0.1 mile). Turn right at W. Evergreen Boulevard (0.4 mile). Turn right at Esther Street (0.2 mile). Walk to the next cross street, W. 8th Street. From there you can enjoy a walk across Esther Short Park. The Hilton Downtown Vancouver is located opposite the park on 301 W. 6th Street.
