BHC Consultants (BHC) is an employee-owned and managed professional planning, engineering, and code compliance firm located in Seattle, Washington comprised of 42 planners, engineers, compliance specialists, and support personnel. Our senior staff has worked together in the northwest for 30 years collectively solving some of the more intriguing planning, design and construction challenges found in the region.
Our planners have been serving Washington cities and counties since 1990. This spans the “life” of the Growth Management Act (GMA), starting with initial growth management guidance and technical assistance to the State, up to the present work in updating plans and development codes, preparing sub-area and neighborhood plans, integrating SEPA and GMA, and helping to infuse critical areas ordinances and shoreline master programs with “best available science.” We have assisted more than 50 jurisdictions in GMA planning.
